Galloping Girl-Horse Balance Model

Galloping Girl captures the grace and poise of a traditional Amazon rider. Seated side-saddle and poised in motion, horse and rider are suspended in a moment of forward energy and controlled balance.

Inspired by historic equestrian tradition, the figure reflects the elegance and discipline associated with classical riding. The lifted stride of the horse suggests movement frozen in time — dynamic yet composed.

Handcrafted from metal in a traditional blacksmith’s workshop, each balance model is individually cut, formed, assembled and carefully hand-painted. The precisely weighted pendulum base allows horse and rider to rock gently in a smooth, rhythmic motion; as the piece moves, the horse’s head and tail rise and fall, while the rider’s head and arms shift subtly as though carried forward in a gallop. The effect suggests the cadence of hooves in motion, before gradually settling into equilibrium in honour of the historic craft of mechanical balancing toys.

Produced in small batches, subtle variations in finish and brushwork are the natural marks of true handcraft, giving each piece its own quiet character and collectable presence.
