King of Kinetics-Royal Gift-Handmade Metal Balance Model

King of Kinetics is a handmade metal king in full regalia, crowned and robed in cream and red, holding his sceptre with a proper air of authority. Balanced on a hidden counterweight decorated with the four playing card suits, he sways gently at the lightest touch, with a matching miniature sceptre swinging below.

Each piece is cut, shaped, assembled and hand-painted in a traditional blacksmith's workshop, in the spirit of the painted tinplate balancing toys of the Victorian and Edwardian nursery. Made in small batches, so no two are exactly the same, the little differences in the brushwork are the mark of proper handmade work.

A wonderful gift for anyone drawn to royalty, medieval history, coronations and pageantry, or for the card player, bridge club member, poker fan or magician who'd spot the King of Hearts reference straight away.
