En Garde captures the poised intensity of a traditional fencing duel. With blades crossed and bodies balanced in opposition, the figures reflect the discipline, agility and split-second precision at the heart of classical swordsmanship.

Inspired by historic fencing traditions and formal duelling etiquette, this expressive balance model suggests movement suspended at the moment of engagement — dynamic yet controlled.

Handcrafted from metal in a traditional blacksmith’s workshop, each balance model is individually cut, formed, assembled and carefully hand-painted. The carefully weighted pendulum base allows the duelling pair to rock smoothly into equilibrium, honouring the historic craft of mechanical balancing toys.

Produced in small batches, subtle variations in brushwork and finish are the natural marks of true handcraft, giving each piece a distinctive character and collectable presence.
