Sleigh Bells Ring is a handmade metal Father Christmas in his sleigh, pulled by a leaping reindeer in full flight across the winter sky. Balanced on a snowflake-decorated counterweight, the whole scene rocks gently from side to side at the lightest touch before settling back to rest.

Each piece is cut, shaped, assembled and hand-painted in a traditional blacksmith's workshop, in the spirit of the painted tinplate Christmas toys of the Victorian and Edwardian nursery. Made in small batches, so no two are exactly the same, the little differences in the brushwork are the mark of proper handmade work.

The kind of Christmas decoration that gets its own spot on the mantelpiece, sideboard or hall table, then packed carefully away and brought out again year after year.
