Sunny Side Up-Solar Sun Blazing Balance Model

Sunny Side Up draws inspiration from traditional folk art suns and the enduring symbolism of the solar year. With expressive face and radiant rays, the figure reflects warmth, vitality and the life-giving presence of the sun across changing seasons.

Evoking the brightness of the Summer Solstice, the balance of the Spring and Autumn Equinox, and the returning light of the Winter Solstice, this characterful model celebrates the rhythm of the yearly sun cycle. Its gentle rocking motion suggests energy held in poised equilibrium — vibrant yet composed.

Handcrafted from metal in a traditional blacksmith’s workshop, each balance model is individually cut, formed, assembled and carefully hand-painted. The carefully weighted pendulum base allows the sun to settle into smooth balance, honouring the historic craft of mechanical balancing toys.

Produced in small batches, subtle variations in brushwork and finish are the natural marks of true handcraft, giving each piece a distinctive character and collectible presence.
